What is the Tech Radar?

The Bloomteq Tech Radar is a list of technologies, complemented by an assessment result, called ring assignment. We use four rings with the following semantics:

• ADOPT — These are th technologies and tools we have high confidence using and vast experience in day to day operations.
• TRIAL — Technologies that we have used in the past in real life projects, but we cannot claim to be experts in the field. Some engineers in our organization walked this path and will share knowledge and experiences.
• ASSESS — These are the technologies we used on some internal projects, we did prototyping and proofs of concepts, but have not used in real world projects. The technologies showed good potential and we are looking to promote them in the future.
• HOLD — Technologies that we used, have experience with, but want to phase out in the future if applicable. HOLD technologies should not be used for new projects, but usually can be continued for existing projects.
